Michael Maiorana

Michael Maiorana is vice president of National Government Sales and Operations at Verizon Wireless.

Maiorana oversees the national Verizon Wireless team that focuses exclusively on the management and growth of the company's government accounts. Maiorana and his team manage sales and marketing, respond to solicitations, negotiate agreements, provide customer service and oversee compliance for the government channel, which includes multiple federal, state and local entities including law enforcement, public safety, military and municipal customers. The team is based in Laurel, MD.

Maiorana's wireless experience extends over 17 years, in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with Verizon Wireless and its predecessor companies. Maiorana began his wireless career as a sales representative and moved on to positions including regional director of Corporate and Government Accounts, director of Retail Sales, and director of Sales Operations and Training.

Maiorana is a four-time winner of the Verizon Wireless President's Cabinet for top sales achievement. He earned an MBA in Finance at Montclair (NJ) State University, and an undergraduate degree in Marketing at Rutgers University.
