Jeff Mango
President - Georgia/Alabama Region
Jeff Mango is president – Georgia/Alabama Region for Verizon Wireless, the leading wireless provider with the nation's most reliable wireless network. In this role, Mango oversees more than 1600 employees as well as the sales and operations, marketing, distribution, customer service and financial results for the two state area. The Georgia/Alabama Region is headquartered in Alpharetta, GA and is part of the company's South Area also headquartered in Alpharetta.
Mango began his career in the wireless industry in 1994 as a Retail Sales Representative. Since then he has held a variety of positions in sales management including Regional Director at Bell Atlantic in Philadelphia. When Verizon Wireless was formed in 2000, Mango was named the Director of Retail Sales for the Georgia/Alabama Region where he oversaw the sales and operations for the two states. He went on to serve as the Executive Director of Retail Sales and Operations for the New York Metro Region before being named the President of the Mountain Region covering Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. In 2007, he returned to Georgia as the President. He is a two-time winner of the Verizon Wireless Presidents Cabinet for sales achievement.
Mango is currently active in the Atlanta business community and was recently named one of Georgia Trend Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 for 2008. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Mango holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Sales and Meeting Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
